What is EURORANDO?
EURORANDO is the largest European tourism festival under the auspices of the European Tourism Federation (ERA) and is held every five years.
When and where will EURORANDO 2026 take place?
From 20 to 27 September 2026 in the Ore Mountains, along the German-Czech border.
Which cities will be the focal point of the event?
The focal points of the event are Boží Dar Kurort Oberwiesenthal various hiking trails and a varied supporting program.
What is the theme of the event?
EURORANDO takes place under the theme of the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Mining Region of the Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří.
What can I expect from the programme?
Guided group hikes and individually marked routes of varying difficulty (approx. 50 trails)
Sustainable programme with concerts, regional market, exhibitions and regional cuisine
Guided day trips by bus to other tourist attractions in the region
When and where will the opening ceremony take place?
The opening will take place on 20 September 2026 at 17:00 in Boží Dar.
When and where will the closing ceremony take place?
The closing ceremony starts on 26 September 2026 at 17:00 in Oberwiesenthal.
How is the parade planned?
The parade will start on 26 September 2026 at approximately 14:00 in Boží Dar and will travel approximately 3 km to the ceremonial end in Oberwiesenthal.

How much does a ticket to EURORANDO 2026 cost?

What is included in the participation fee?
A fee of €10 allows you to reserve a spot on guided tours, use the shuttle bus to the starting point of most routes from the towns Kurort Oberwiesenthal, Boží Dar Loučná pod Klínovcem, attend accompanying exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and other supporting events, receive discounts from selected regional partners, and receive a welcome package containing, among other things, a wooden participant plaque, a printed guidebook, and a map of the region.
Where are the pickup points for the shuttle buses that registered participants can use to get to the start of the route and back?
Shuttle buses will pick up only registered participants in the towns of Kurort Oberwiesenthal, Boží Dar Loučná pod Klínovcem. Specific pickup locations will be announced by the end of June.
Can I take the shuttle bus to the starting point of all guided tours?
For the trails starting in the towns Kurort Oberwiesenthal Boží Dar participants Boží Dar provided. These are trails nos. 00, 11, 12, 14, 25, and 26.
How can I pay for a registered bus tour or adventure?
When booking your date, you will be asked to pay for the tour, and you have two options:

Why should participants bring a stone from home?
Your stone will become part of the great Stone Heart of Europe, which we will officially unveil on the afternoon of September 26. The Heart will remain in the Ore Mountains as a memorial to EURORANDO 2026.
Is there still a way for me to get involved in organizing the event?
We currently have guides assigned to the various routes, but we are still looking for multilingual (ideally local) volunteers with a positive attitude and a love for the Ore Mountains—please email us at anna@krusnehory.cz.
Where and when can I pick up my welcome package?
Please pick up your welcome package upon arrival (starting in mid-September at the earliest—the exact date will be specified) at the following address: Boží Dar , or Kurort Oberwiesenthal, Karlsbader Str. 3
Who organizes and supports the event?
The main organizers are the Krušnohoří Destination Agency, the Erzgebirge Tourism Association, and the Czech Tourist Club – Ústí nad Labem Region.
The partner municipalities of EURORANDO are Boží Dar, Jáchymov, Loučná pod Klínovcem, Kurort Oberwiesenthal, Breitenbrunn, and Johanngeorgenstadt.
The festival is held under the auspices of European hiking federation.
Who is funding the event?
The event is supported by EU funds under the Interreg Saxony-Czech Republic 2021-2027 programme.
