2026

Experience the unforgettable atmosphere of the Ore Mountains. You can look forward to varied cultural events including musical performances, theatre and traditional folklore festivals that will bring the history and spirit of the Ore Mountains to life. 

There will also be local markets with regional specialties, handicrafts and souvenirs. For history and art lovers, there will be thematic exhibitions where you can learn about the mining heritage, technical monuments and natural treasures of our region.

Kurort Oberwiesenthal

The Fichtelberg Railway’s evening steam train from Oberwiesenthal (8:00 p.m.) to Cranzahl (8:55 p.m.) and, if necessary, back (9:10 p.m. – 10:05 p.m.)

Elterlein

Guided walk as part of the Klang & Weg program: Little Feet, Big Journeys – a family hike in Elterlein
The main highlights of the approximately 8-kilometer-long route include interactive stops, a tour of the church, and a visit to the church tower featuring an audio experience.

Bockau

2:00 p.m. – approx. 4:00 p.m. Guided hike organized by the Saxon State Forestry Agency. Even before the new, wheelchair-accessible forest adventure trail is fully completed and officially opened, everyone is invited to join us for a walk.

The main highlights of the approximately 11-kilometer route are a guided tour of the Hoheneck Memorial and a closing organ concert.

    – Minimum number of participants: 12 people

The main highlights of the approximately 18-kilometer route include a carillon, the Brünlos sensory garden, and a closing concert featuring the organ and transverse flute.

A Moonlight Ride on the Fichtelberg Railway – this four-hour tour begins at 7:15 p.m. at the train station in Oberwiesenthal and combines a ride on a historic narrow-gauge railway with hiking, a barbecue, live music, and—weather permitting—a campfire.
