Through the Central Ore Mountains Nature Park along the Ore Mountains ridge and the Prunéřovský stream valley to the Kýšovice waterfall and Výsluní with its majestic St. Wenceslas Church.
Members of the Czechia-German association will accompany you on this route. Přísečnice žije – Pressnitz lebt, which has been documenting the local heritage of this defunct village since 2016. Together with the natives of Přísečnice, it takes care of monuments and looks for suitable ways to pass on the legacy of Přísečnice to future generations.
The starting point of this hike is the gamekeeper's lodge at Výsluní, not far from the railway station of the same name, which is the seat of our association. From there, we will set off uphill along a paved and forest path (100 meters of elevation gain). Soon we will join the Krušnohorská hřebenovka trail, which leads around peat bogs at an altitude of around 900 m. Along the forest path, we will see protected peat bogs and continue along the Prunéřovský stream, which has its source here. This will take us through the valley to the Kýšovice waterfalls, where we will take a break (bring your own snacks and drinks). If there is enough water, we will see a cascade of waterfalls branching out over 25 meters.
From here, we will climb steeply upwards. We will leave the valley and reach the village of Výsluní, where we can visit the exceptionally open Church of St. Wenceslas. In clear weather, its tower offers a unique view of the foothills.
From Výsluní, we continue along a paved road back to the forest lodge, which is the destination of our journey. At the end, we invite participants to join us for a Czechia-Saxony campfire. Refreshments will be provided. You can bring your own musical instrument or borrow a guitar or percussion instrument on site. You will also have the opportunity to view a mini-exhibition on the history of the extinct town of Přísečnice, which became famous for its mining and unique musical tradition.
