The price of the tour is 59 euros and includes transportation, admission fees, guided services, and lunch with a non-alcoholic beverage.
From Boží Dar, we will set off for the Eastern Ore Mountains, which offer beautiful mountain and foothill landscapes.
The first stop is Hora Svaté Kateřiny, a small town built on a prominent hill, decorated with stone piles and tree-lined avenues. Above the village stands the lookout tower on Růžový vrch (Pink Hill) and below the village is the Mikulášská štola (St. Nicholas Tunnel). We will visit both attractions. From there, we will travel to the Saxon side to Seiffen.
In the "toy village," we will start with lunch at the "Buntes Haus" (Colorful House). Then, in the demonstration workshop, you will see with your own eyes how genuine Ore Mountain handicrafts are made from wood. From woodturning and carving to painting – these can include nutcrackers, pipe racks, arched candlesticks, or pyramids.
This is followed by a visit to the famous mountain church in Seiffen. This late Baroque octagonal church was consecrated in 1779. It originally served as a miners' church and is now known worldwide as a frequent motif in Ore Mountain folk art.
Finally, there is plenty of free time left to buy high-quality wooden products in local shops.
On the way from Seiffen, we will stop in Olbernhau-Grünthal, where we will visit the Saigerhütte metallurgical museum. This unique place is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The famous Grünthal copper roof tiles produced here still adorn some buildings today, including St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and the Frauenkirche in Dresden.
