Most is located in northwestern Bohemia, between the Ore Mountains and the Central Bohemian Uplands. Thanks to its location, it offers beautiful natural scenery—from the nearby hills to the vast bodies of water, which today make it an ideal place for relaxation and hiking.
Explore Most on Foot – A City Walk Full of Experiences
The starting point is the Tourist Information Center, where you can pick up maps, get tips on hiking trails, find out about current events, and pick up promotional materials. If you’d like, you can get advice on day trips or even rent bicycles. It’s open every day during the season.
A short walk will take you to the Funpark on Šibeník Hill. Here you can try out the three-story 3D rope maze, walk along the elevated walkways, and test your agility. Visitors can climb the 26-meter-high observation tower, which offers views of the city center and the surrounding hills.
After having fun at Funpark, head over to Střed Park, which has once again become a popular spot—not just for locals. The park has undergone extensive renovations, so you can relax in a café, sit on a bench, or simply soak up the city’s atmosphere.
At the foot of Hněvín Hill, you’ll find the regional museum and gallery. Here, you can learn about the history of the Most region and life in the Ore Mountains, admire the art collections, or explore special exhibitions.
And if you still have some time and energy left, head up to Hněvín Castle, which towers over the town. It’s a great spot for panoramic views and beautiful photos.
The next stop is a bit further away, but a pleasant 30-minute walk will take you to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. During the tour, you’ll learn about its history and its famous relocation.
Not far from the church lies Lake Most, with its crystal-clear water, a long walking path around its perimeter, and a wide variety of activities.
You can take public transportation back to the city center; at certain times, this route is served by a double-decker bus.
