Listen to EURORANDO 2026 firsthand

EURORANDO 2026 is already attracting attention across Europe. One of the members of the organizing team, Jan Kerner, was a guest on the popular international podcast Walking Post by Jim Cornall, where they discussed everything that makes the 2026 edition so special.

In this interview, you will learn why EURORANDO is Europe's largest hiking festival and how it will go down in history: for the first time, it will take place in two countries simultaneously, the Czech Republic and Germany, against the backdrop of the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge).

The podcast will guide you through the dates of September 20–27, 2026, the main venues in Boží Dar, Loučná pod Klínovcem, and Kurort Oberwiesenthal, as well as the varied program. You can look forward to dozens of guided trails of varying difficulty, marked trails for individual hiking, cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, and regional markets inspired by the unique mining history of the Ore Mountains, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There will also be information about links to European Walking Day, European Week of Sport, and the traditional Deutscher Wandertag. If you are planning to participate, or if EURORANDO is just starting to appeal to you, this episode will give you a great overview and the right dose of inspiration.
