The town of Kraslice and the village of Bublava lie below the western edge of the Ore Mountains and represent the best of what you can experience - history, culture and wild nature in a dramatic terrain where you won't be bored for a moment.
The route starts at the Church of Corpus Christi in Kraslice. We will pass by the church and the town hall, and start climbing up the slope of Hausberg, the place where the first fortified building stood in the valley above the Svatava River. We will climb up a beautiful forest path to the ruins of Hausberg Castle with its rock chapel and a wonderful view of the valley of the Silver River. This is probably the most famous ferrata of the Ore Mountains.
We will take the ridge path to the cemetery in Tisová. All the way we will follow a pleasant mountain path with delightful views. At the crossroads by the cemetery we can decide whether we want to take a break and visit the local brewery, Krušnohor, or climb straight back up the beautiful road to Tisovec. At its foot is a former mine and a view that gives a great photo opportunity.
The educational “Miners’ Trail” will lead us to Olověný vrch (Leaden hill), with the Bleiberg lookout tower (unfortunately closed) and a partial view of Bublava. We will descend into the valley of the Bublava stream and cross the opposite slope to return to Kraslice.
All along the way we will be mesmerized by views of the surrounding hilly landscape. Eventually we will reach the center of the town of Kraslice. Here we can refresh ourselves in the many local restaurants. If you are interested, in Tisová there is a typical local brewery, Krušnohor, with a shop and bistro.
