50 🇨🇿 | From Vysoká Pec to Havraní vrch

The valley of Vysoká Pec and Rudné is an example of peaceful life in the heart of the Ore Mountains, where the 20th century was not so ruthless and the village even won the Village of the Year competition in the past.

From the parking lot opposite the Sportka restaurant, we set off along the nature trail to the hillside to the left of the hotel. We pass by a western-style town, where a country gathering takes place every summer. We walk through half forest and half meadows, picturesque spots all the way up to the ridges. There we turn right along the yellow trail.

From here on, we’ll be walking on flat ground, with one beautiful view after another unfolding before us. The entire village lies spread out below us, and towering above it is the prominent Pajndl hill with its observation tower. We’ll walk all the way to the very end of the village of Rudné, where we’ll come to a paved road. We’ll turn right onto it and walk past the cemetery and church down to the center of Rudné. When we come to a road branching off to the left, we’ll follow it up through a picturesque side valley toward the Havraní vrch (Raven Hill) lookout point. Here we can rest on a bench and let ourselves be enchanted by the panoramic views.

We continue along the nature trail through meadows and woods to a former farmstead. From here, we descend steeply back to the Sportka restaurant, where we can reward ourselves with a tasty treat.
