This trip will take us to the picturesque valleys and hills around the village of Stříbrná. The forgotten beauty of this part of the Ore Mountains will take your breath away with its views, picturesque landscape, and extensive rock ‘own’ above the village.
We will start the trip at the turnoff from the main road in Stříbrná, where you can park. We will set off along a forest path with views through the side valley below Stříbrný vrch (Silver Hill). We will gradually climb through mountain meadows and scattered settlements to the shelter below Šišák. Here we will turn onto a forest path above the rocks, where we will enjoy beautiful views of this rock town, which looks like something out of a fairy tale.
We will visit the most famous peaks of Beduín and Kohout, where there is also a via ferrata. We will carefully climb down between the rocks back to the road and head back. At the shelter, we will take the contour path to the left and go around the distinctive Špičák hill until we reach a unique place where the doors to the Ore Mountains open up. This display of land art on a mountain meadow with piles of stones blends beautifully with the surrounding landscape.
Next, we will head to Nová Ves, where we will turn left towards Komáří vrch (Mosquito Hill), which hides bizarre rock formations and views of the western Ore Mountains. Hraběcí skála (Count's Rock) is the first one in line, and you can even climb it. Below Chudá nevěsta (Poor Bride) rock, there is also a beautiful ‘sea’ of stones.
From here, we return to Nová Ves and follow the yellow trail back to the starting point on the steep slope.
