This circular tour, approximately 16.9 km long, connects the most beautiful views around the mining town of Marienberg. The starting point is the town hall in Marienberg. This mining town, founded in 1521, was planned on a drawing board. The square layout, regularity, and placement of buildings follow the principles of an ideal Renaissance town, the first such town north of the Alps.

The route follows the Eisenach-Budapest and E3 long-distance hiking trails and uniquely combines culture and nature. From the starting point, the trail leads directly to the first peak: Bergmagazin (Mining Magazine). This former granary now houses the Saxon-Bohemian Ore Mountains Museum and the municipal and district library. The museum presents the history of the Saxon and Bohemian Ore Mountains in an interesting and engaging way.

From here, the trail continues past the Kaiserteich and Gondelteich ponds towards Mooshaide before reaching the Drei-Brüder-Höhe (Three Brothers Heights). The Drei-Brüder-Höhe observation tower offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Ore Mountains. Those who want to take a short break can stop at the Berghotel Drei-Brüder-Höhe (Three Brothers Heights Mountain Hotel).

After Drei-Brüder-Höhe, continue along the E3 trail towards Großrückerswalde. Passing the "Himmelreich" (Heavenly Kingdom) spoil heap and the small village of Huth, you will reach the ponds – an ideal place to relax in the midst of nature. The route then continues to the center of Großrückerswalde, where you can enjoy a view of the fortified church. This is one of four preserved fortified churches in the Ore Mountains.

From there, the trail leads past the old flying school and through the upper part of the village to Marktsteig (Market Trail), which eventually leads back to Marienberg. The route follows the former Marienberg-Reitzenhain railway line and leads via Goldkindstein back to the starting point at the town hall in Marienberg.
