We will start our trip at the parking lot in the center of the town. We will walk around the Krušnohorský poutník building, where you will find a bilingual exhibition about the main phenomena of the Ore Mountains. This building used to be a famous fish canning factory, and the exhibition also commemorates this story.

We continue towards Velký Špičák along a minor road to the forest. We walk along a beautiful forest path, first passing the viewpoint at Malý Špičák and climbing up to Střední Špičák, which offers a beautiful view. We will see two distinctive basalt knots that adorn the landscape of the Ore Mountains. Then we will walk through a young forest to the main attraction on the route – Velký Špičák. At its foot is a small quarry. From there, we will climb as if to a peak in the Alps. It is a short but challenging climb. Our reward will be a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Ore Mountains. Everything is right here at your fingertips.

We’ll descend on the other side, accompanied not only by beautiful views but also by informational signs about local points of interest. We’ll walk along forest paths to the lower end of Kovářská. Here, we’ll visit St. Mark’s Chapel and reflect on the miracle that led to its construction. Passing through woods and meadows, we’ll reach the soccer field, and after passing the cemetery with its beautiful graves, we’ll turn right.

The final stop on the route is the Museum of the Battle of the Ore Mountains, dedicated to the largest aerial battle of World War II on the territory of today’s Czech Republic (admission: 80/60 CZK; approx. 3/2.5 EUR). Those who aren’t interested in the museum can grab a bite to eat at the Cukrkavárna pastry shop or the Horská Bašta restaurant.
