This picturesque circular hike begins at the Spiegelwaldbaude inn with its breathtaking King Albert viewing tower – the highest point of the route. A real treat for anyone who enjoys looking out over the rolling green hills of the Ore Mountains. The trail leads through a typical Ore Mountains spruce forest to the edge of the forest, where a wide view of Grünhain opens up.

The trail then curves slightly to the left around the Spiegelwald forest. The route mainly follows the edge of the forest and offers a pleasant interplay of light and shadow. New perspectives of the surrounding landscape constantly open up, making it a feast for the eyes and soul.

The trail eventually leads to the right to a viewpoint affectionately known as the "balcony of the Ore Mountains." The view here is breathtaking and truly lives up to its name. The rest area invites you to relax and enjoy the panoramic views. The trail continues along the former railway embankment until it begins a short climb.

The hike then slowly continues to the left and bypasses the Spiegelwald forest. Once you reach the summit, the trail gradually returns to the starting point at Spiegelwaldbaude. Those who want to complete the tour should not miss the lookout tower at the starting point. It is a fitting conclusion with a panoramic view of the beauty of the Ore Mountains. Several benches along the way invite you to enjoy the scenery.
